Urban Fabric

The project Urban Fabric explores the urban fabric of Knoxville through conversations and drawings. Through the designers Thesis, I created a method of capturing the perceived urban fabric of a space, based on listening and talking with those who call the city home. Discovering themes like Redlining and the Civil War, still remaining prevalent in the way they understood the city. The drawings, including the “Inception series,” capture the perceived urban fabric, fostering a sense of ownership and understanding among the residents.

Hortus

The project Hortus addresses the integration of green architecture and user experience. The design incorporates green roofs as water collection systems, with filtration integrated into the building’s walls. The use of voids or cores allows for natural light and social spaces, while the design is adaptable to multiple locations, overcoming initial skepticism and practical challenges.
